Perhaps It's good

Its been a long time since I wrote something here .. I don't really know why ... Is it because my blog assignment is over ? is it because most of the topics in my mind are the heavy type that one short post wouldn't be enough ? or is it because every time i open my blog .. i see the picture from my previous post ? Well it doesn't matter , what matters is that I'm here with something new already :)
today there wont be any serious topics or sad stories ... today I will just tell a story about optimism from the old Arabian culture :)

lets not waste time and let's start with the story :

Once upon a time there was a king ruling his peaceful kingdom , that king had a very wise minister who was helping him manage his kingdom.
One thing about the minister used to annoy the king all the time .. when ever anything bad or any disaster happens in the kingdom ... the minister always say " perhaps it's good ".

The King never understood why his minister used to say these words which makes the King very mad.

One day , the King and his minister went for hunting in the forest as they always do every week,
during their animal hunting , the King got attacked by a wolf which injured the king and ate his finger before the minister manage to kill it.

The King was in a very bad mood especially after he went back to his palace , and then he heard his minister say " Perhaps it's good " . The king god really angry like never before, that he ordered the guards to put his close friend the minister in jail , It was really shocking for the king when his minister said , while he is being pulled to jail by the guards , " perhaps it's good" .

one month after that accident , the King decided to go hunting again as it's in his blood , but this time the king went alone as his minister was still in jail.

During the hunt , the King got attacked by a pagans worshiping tribe who captured him and tied him up , the king found out that they want to sacrifice him to their gods by throwing him in the fire.

As they prepared him to be sacrificed and they almost threw him in the fire , one of them yelled "STOP , DON'T THROW HIM IN ". Everybody stopped and they asked " why ? " , that person said " look at his right hand , there is a missing finger. If we give a bad sacrifice to gods their curses shall be on us. " , As they all looked and realized his cut finger , the pulled him away from the fire and let him free with disappoint.

The King didn't believe he is still a live all because his finger was cut before , so he went back to his palace and the first thing he did was ordering to let his minister free and bringing him to meet the king.

so when the minister came , the King said " I never knew you are that wise until now . It was really a good thing that my finger was cut before even though I was very mad when it happened, but i have a question.. why did you say perhaps it's good when i sent you to jail , what was good about that ?"

The wise Minister replied " your majesty , If you didn't send me to jail that time , maybe I would have been captured with you and maybe they would have sacrificed me instead. "

What the story says :

sometimes things happen in a way we hate but it's because we look from the eyes of today only .. we don't look at tomorrow
see things in optimistic way , and everything will be alright

Never take things for what they look today ... maybe tomorrow you will love what you hate today.
always thank god for the good and bad and believe that he has a plan for you.

Where is God?

"Where is god amidst all the fears , disasters , killing and destruction on this earth ?There is no god for humans but the humans themselves. "
He said that after he saw this picture.

It was taken In the year 1993 during the starvation in Southern Sudan , It shows a girl struggling to reach the feeding center , but she stopped for a break, and it also shows vulture waiting for her to die.

Someone asked this question .. "where is god ?" ... he told me the story of this picture ,and that it was taken by a photojournalist named Kevin Carter and he won Pulitzer prize for it. he also told me that Kevin committed a suicide one year later because he couldn't live in peace with himself.

Kevin Carter committed suicide despite of all the fame , the job , the money , apparently all this was not enough.
The job , the fame , the money ,

If you leave a child on the ground while you adjust your camera lens and take the picture , then leave in a chopper , would you feel any joy in your life ? I think I understand why Kevin committed suicide.

What if Kevin threw his camera away and ran to that child , carried her to the feeding center or the chopper ? I bet even if without winning Pulitzer prize and without having any fame , he would live happy till the day he die , He would've never lost hope in good and he would've never committed a suicide.

where is god ? he ask ....

We would question that if there's no food on earth , but God didn't cause the starvation , There is food enough for everyone .... God gave the humans food and all the sources .. and he watched humans starving while other humans are throwing food away...

where is god ? god shows himself in everything good we do for humanity and earth , and of course those who neglect his message will keep wondering where is god .. where did he go ?

watching the world going to chaos by all the destruction , wars , killing and starvation makes me think that the real Question is ... Where are the humans??? where did they go ??

Rachel Corrie - The Girl with Dreams

1979-2003

The American Hero....The Girl with Dreams ....The Princess of Palestine

Rachael Corrie was an American person , but she was not a normal one , she was different , she had dreams. Rachel wanted a better world for everyone , in her Fifth grade speech she said
"I am here for other children , I am here because I care , I am here because children everywhere are suffering and because forty thousand people die each day from hunger , I'm here because those people are mostly children. We've got to understand that the poor all around us and we're ignoring them. We've got to understand that these deaths are preventable , we've got to understand that people in third world countries think , and care , and smile and cry just like us. We've got to understand that they are us , we are them , my dream is to stop hunger by the year 2000 , my dream is to give the poor a chance , my dream is to save the forty thousand people who die each day. My dream can and will come true if if we all look in the future and see the light that shines there."

Rachel Corrie didn't live long enough to see her dreams come true , she was killed by a bulldozer operated by the Israel Defense Forces who tried to demolish Palestinian home , Rachel chose to make a human shield of herself to save innocent humans.

she was an American citizen , living a good life in USA ,she could have continued with her life this way , but she chose not to stand and watch the brutality in our world... she chose to do something... she went to Gaza and joined activists to do something.

just imagine ... someone like you and me chose to stand against a bulldozer just to protect other humans she doesn't really know, 23 years old girl did that. Every human should be proud of her.

Rachel Corrie ... I wish I would be like you one day.

the cinema of life ... grab a popcorn and join me ! :)

Today is going to be different , today we will be watching cinema , but with real life action :)

We all enjoy the American cinema and it's movies , who doesn't ? with all the protagonist( the hero ) and the evil  villain ,so american movies. I like them too  :p

But some people has realized that these movies were taken from the American personality itself  maybe.

Let's take a look at the history :

I wont go back to the early history cause the united states of america doesnt have any. USA is about 233 years old anyway.

It all started with the world war one , when USA helped the allies against germany , it was great thing to do and i agree , USA has turned the tide in world war one , and it has alerted the world that USA is the new hero in this world, the Savior and who is the villain ?Germany, Austria/Hungary , Ottoman Empire & Bulgaria .

U.S Submarine "Shark" during World War 1

Then again in world war 2 , USA was the hero by saving the allies especially Britain from Germany.
cool , who's the hero  ? USA ... who's the villain ? the major Axis powers ( Germany , Italy & Japan)
Not to forget that the hero USA used two Atomic bombs on 2 different Japanese cities and killed 120,000 , later the hero claimed that it was necessary to end the war ,but what some people don't know is that USA threw two different types of atomic bombs , The Hiroshima bomb was a uranium bomb, the Nagasaki bomb was a plutonium bomb.was that  to try which is better  and which should USA continue producing ? anyway...
Nagasaki Atomic Bomb

After world war 2 , it was the soviet union's turn to be villain of the movie , since Germany is screwed already lol , it was time for the cold war between USA and the soviet union, the evil soviet who stole the secret of Atomic bomb so both of them are equal.

one funny thing is ... during this cold war , USA supported Afghanistan when it was invaded by the soviet union , and now Afghanistan is occupied by the USA itself lol

Pay attention here , it's the new part of this interesting movie , The Soviet Union has collapsed , omg USA is alone , what to do what to do ? there's no movie without the villain.......

AHHH LOOK OVER THERE ,The Arabs ( who were never the problem before ) , these could be good , they are way different from usa and they are weird enough to be the villan , OMG TERRORIST!!!!!

my question is .......the arabians has been there for thousands of years and there was never a problem ,they didnt't really participate in world wars except as occupied colonies of the european countrie.
why did they become terrorists all of a sudden  ?
where did the terrorism come from ? :)

The greatest threat to the American national security
Picture of the Arabian terrorist riding the super camel which can go ultrasonic and reach USA in 30 minutes! and a picture of his Mass destruction shotgun which is more dangerous than American nuclear weapons !Picture taken by the CIA

know what you want to say ... but shhh ... let me watch the movie ! :p

Terrorism... who is the terrorist?

Terrorism .... We've been hearing this word too much lately with no real understanding for what it means... let's have a look at the dictionary first.

Terrorism : The calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear'

well .. all this calculated violence bla bla bla in this long definition , we can say terrorism is planned violence against civilians to achieve some goals ....

ok now after we've read the definition and understood it .. why don't we apply it on real life to know who are the real terrorists ..

1. the settlers who killed 100-114 millions of native American Indians , the real land owners .... those settlers actions caused of extermination of total 100-114 millions of HUMANS to install their new country and build the united states of America (God bless America)... isn't this Terrorism ? if this isn't terrorism then what is ?

2. Chi Guevara ... a well known " hero " or a freedom fighter for the west .. a person who fought everywhere cause he believed that all humans should be treated equally .. that's not terrorism .. but lets see some of the hero's actions first .. it is known about guevara that in one of his fights and after damaging the enemy hardly ... he planted bombs in the bodies of the dead and wounded people , so when the back up forces and the first aid come he all of them together .. doesn't seem like a hero behavior for me .. how about you .. does it ? what is the difference between guevara and other people who are fighting to defend their countries and their freedom ? is it because they are arabians ? anyone against america is a terrorist ..

3. the Americans ,again , in Iraq.. they are not fighting an army ... but some groups ,and for that they are killing so many civilians and torturing so many innocent people in their prisons... terrorism ? no .. it's USA!!!

4.all those whom i've mentioned earlier are so innocent comparing to the biggest terrorist .. israel ... they say " a picture is worth a thousand words." so i will let you see the pictures and tell who is the terrorist.

Israeli army asked the children of Israel to write message to Palestine and Lebanon kids

Message Recieved

Isn't it time to stop and think , who is the terrorist?
If you still need time to think , you should see these pictures also.

how about a video of the recent actions ?

I got nothing more to say except one thing ... if terrorism is defending your country and dying for it , if it is supporting those who do so... if terrorism is saying NO to injustice .. if terrorism is helping the weak and standing against the evil even if it's the USA or Israel ... . if that's what USA, Israel and the world call terrorism ... then I would glad to be a terrorist.

A huge dream .. few skills and no assets but determenation

I have a dream .... well , who doesn't ?!

but my dream is really big for my current situation , thats why it's called a dream.

Some people think we call it a dream because we will never reach there.. so its only an imagination for them , but for me a dream means a vision of the future ..
Nothing is impossible , but somethings are expensive. Are you willing to pay the price ?

about 5 years ago I used to practice Martial Arts in military center in Egypt. I remember a conservation i had once with a friend of mine , when I said" I wish I could win Egypt championship , qualify to world championship and win it , but it's simply impossible." My friend said back " It's not impossible. I guarantee for you that you will win this championship if you pay the price for it , which is expensive. "
I asked what is the price then his reply was " are you willing to train everyday for 6 hours atleast for the next 5 years with the same spirit and to push yourself to adapt physically and mental through these years ?" such an expensive price right?.

I wrote about this now cause i remember ... Nothing is impossible .... but it's us who don't believe in ourselves , plus we are too lazy as human beings, we want to sit down there and watch our dreams come true , we don't want to pay the price.

lets take khaled for example here ... khaled loves the ford mustang , everyone knows that .. it's his dream.
If khaled said " oh i wish to get the mustang someday but its impossible , it cost 20,0000$ and I will never make that much. " it means khaled is not willing to pay the price which is not the 20,000 here ... it is working hard and pushing yourself , being creative and find ways to earn more money , and any other way to reach his goal , he chose to say he wont make it and keep it in his imagination.

or if khaled said " It's my dream .. ill do anything to make it true " and then hes accepting to pay the price of working very hard , improving his financial situation and his life till he make his dream come true ..

and that's why some people dream and wonder why their dreams never come true ...

Are you willing to pay the price for your own dream to become true ? or would you prefer to sit down there and say it's impossible ... it's just a dream anyway ?

getting back to me ... yes i have a dream .. a huge one , so so far away right now , but tomorrow it wont be as far , as i will move a step forward, and as they have always said ... A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step.
I know the price and im willing to pay it, no matter how long it takes ..

I have no skills in this field of my dream , but i have determination which can make me gain skills and run to my dream instead of walking ! :) maybe one day when i make it true i will post here also ! :)

Ramadan in Egypt

There is no doubt that what we can see in in Egypt during the month of Ramadan " the fasting month " can not be seen anywhere else ! :)

You can know it is Ramadan from all the decorations and when you see the Egyptian lanterns all around .

you can know it's Ramadan when you gather with your family in the dawn , eat together then go to the mosque and pray together , where you will see surrounded by the crowd , that you're not the only one who decided to go.

during the fasting hoursyou will see the people working with even more energy that you would think that stopping eating strengthen them.

when it comes to breakfast time , the streets will be very quite as you wont see a car moving , everyone at their home or at their relatives home having their breakfast. Or right in the street ,for the poor people who can't really afford spending much on food and for people who were late and still in the streets , there are stands called " Tables of the merciful " ( merciful here referring to god , so it mean something like god's tables , meaning its god feeding them and providing food , not the donators.
On these table , people who don't know each other get together and share the happiness & food.

after eating and spending time with family , the time comes for the prayer which is called " Taraweeh prayer " ... umm its very hard to translate the meaning but it mean something like soul refreshment :)

In this prayer you see enormous number of people praying , these pictures for Taraweeh prayer are taken at my hometown Alexandria.

hehe that's all for now, here are some few pics for Egypt during Ramadan. i will be adding more later ! :)
